TRC Testing

Students are tested so much.  For all K-3 teachers, mClass TRC testing can be a stressful time-consuming endeavor.   Our district test three times of year, BOY, MOY, and EOY.  It’s hard to prepare a classroom of students who are all different levels.  My second grade class ranges from RB- R.  With ranges like that it can be hard to know even where to start when it comes to testing…….

I have developed several TRC question stem products that can be used with almost any fiction or nonfiction book.  That makes our lives a lot easier. 

To begin, I practice modeling APPROPRIATE answers using our read aloud or mentor text.   Students use level specific questions to respond to their daily book. 

Once students become comfortable they love to sit in the authors chair and read their text evidence answers with friends.
